Devastating wars continue to tear apart cities, neighbourhoods, and families; a worldwide and vicious policy of neo-liberalism destroys pensions, fair wages, public institutions, and social programs; and systems of oppression including racism, sexism, and colonialism operate in deep and insidious ways.
